Elevation (reference only)
Sharp Peak is located in Sai Kung East Country Park, with a height of 486 meters. Sharp Peak is named one of the “Three Sharp Peaks of Hong Kong”, Sharp Peak is considered as the sharpest one. There are expansive 360-degree views on the summit of Sharp Peak, which must be one of the best views in Hong Kong.
Get off the bus at Pak Tam Au
Then follow the waysign toward Maclehose Trail (Stage Two)
Chek Keng Village
Tai Long Au, walk toward the warning sign to Sharp Peak
It will become unofficial unpaved dirt paths
Overlooking Sharp Peak, the ridge is rough and clear
The paths to summit are rugged and steep
The Summit of Sharp Peak, with a height of 486 meters
360-degree views on the summit of Sharp Peak
Back Track to the Nam She Au, the easiest way is to choose back track to Tai Long Au again
But I will move left side to Tai Wan and other beaches of Tai Long Wan
The way to Tai Wan is not easy, the descent is steep and rough
Tai Wan, one of the longest beaches in Hong Kong
Walk right side to Ham Tin Wan
Walk to Ham Tin Wan at the end of Tai Wan
Restaurants at Ham Tin Wan
Walk to Sai Wan through the beach
Or you may consider to walk the concrete path to Tai Long Au and Pak Tam Au, as the transportation at Pak Tam Au is much better, it will be a big trouble if you miss the last bus at Sai Wan Pavilion, please reserve 2 hours if you want to walk to Sai Wan Pavillion
Looking back Ham Tin Wan
Sai Wan Stargazing Site
Tai Long Sai Wan, some restaurants there
Move toward Sai Wan Road to Sai Wan Pavilion
High Island Reservoir
Come to an end at Sai Wan Pavilion.
It will be a nightmare if you miss the last bus at Sai Wan Pavilion, it is not easy to call the taxi as the weak phone signal and the numerous demands for the taxi service, also the taxi drivers may request additional toll charge, but the nearest public bus Pak Tam Chung requires to walk about 2 hours…it must drive you crazy
