Luk Chau Stone Forest is the largest stone forest in Hong Kong, and there are many interesting rocks such as “Crocodile Rock” and “Dragon Boat Rock” etc., it likes a theme park of geological landscape.

However, there is no official hiking trail for Luk Chau Stone Forest and Luk Chau Shan, it mainly relies on the ribbons to direct, and it needs to climb in the stone forest, it is not a friendly trial for beginners, it should walk accompanied with experienced hikers.

Start at Mui Taz Lam Road

Walk along the blue fence at this fork

Move toward the slope and follow the ribbon to Shek Lung Tsai Village

Turn right at this fork

It is suggested to walk along the right side of the Stone Forest, it will have some paths to the Top of Luk Chau Stone Forest

At this fork, move left to Luk Chau Shan and Ma On Shan
move right to “Crocodile Rock” and Ngong Ping
It will turn right to visit “Crocodile Rock” and return to Luk Chau Shan afterward
