The Wilson Trail has been opened in 1996, the trail is named after David Wilson, the Governor of Hong Kong between 1987 and 1992. The first Section of Wilson Trail has a thousand stone steps ascent to the Twins (386 meters and 363 meters in height), and it also needs to attain the summit of Violet Hill with a height of 436 meters. But there are sceneries of the Stanley Peninsula and Tai Tam Reservoir along the trail, and the views make the first Section of Wilson Trail as one of the most popular hiking trails in Hong Kong.
