Map (reference only)

Elevation (reference only)

Castle Peak is located in western New Territories, with a height of 583 meters. Because of its steep inclination, Castle Peak is named one of the “Three Sharp Peaks of Hong Kong” (others are Sharp Peak and High Junk Peak). The route of Castle Peak is not very long, but the elevation and the loose rock surface make it difficult, it also needs to notice the direction, it will be very dangerous into the Castle Peak Hinterland, it is suggested to walk accompanied by experienced leaders.

The right side will be the Castle Peak Hinterland, Castle Peak Hinterland is the most dangerous area for Hong Kong hiking which is very easy to get lost. It needs to mark the correct direction toward the summit and avoid walking to west (right side)
