Beacon Hill and Eagle’s Nest are located at northern of Kowloon peninsula, with a height of 457 meters and 312 meters respectively. On the summit of Beacon Hill, there is a radar dome of Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department which operated for the old Kai Tak Airport. As most of the paths for this trail are Maclehose Trail (Stage Five) and official trail, the hiking paths are well maintained, only the short paths to the summit of Eagle’s Nest are not official but it is optional, the overall difficulty will be lower if you do not visit the summit of Eagle’s Nest. 
Get off at Tin Wang Court, step up the staircase to the Lion Rock Park
Follow the sign to Lion Rock
Around 30-40 minutes to attain Kowloon Pass
Open view of West Kowloon at Kowloon Pass
Then choose the direction to Beacon Hill
At the Beacon Hill Viewing Point, the view is even better than Kowloon Pass

Descend Beacon Hill along the Maclehose Trail
Adjacent to rain shelter, there will be a fork of Eagles Nest Nature Trail
Walk to the left side this time
Pass the waysign to So Uk Estate first
If you choose to not walk the summit of Eagle’s Nest, you can walk this trail to So Uk Estate
After the waysign to So Uk Estate, you will see another waysign to Kowloon Reservoir / Beacon Hill
Walk the dirt path beside the waysign to summit of Eagle’s Nest
The paths to summit of Eagle’s Nest are quite clear
Walk the center at this fork
An abandoned trigonometrical stations of Eagle’s Nest, with a height of 312 meters
Backtrack afterward
Turn right at the fork this time
Return back Eagles Nest Nature Trail, turn left to the waysign to So Uk Estate
Then follow the waysign to So Uk Estate
Turn left at Tai Po Road, and cross the footbridge
Walk ahead after crossing the footbridge
Then walk toward the staircase to So Uk Estate
Come to an end at So Uk Estate
