簡介
橋咀位於西貢以東，政府於2009年將橋咀島設立香港世界地質公園。除了地質公園外，橋咀島亦有兩個水質非常好的沙灘(橋咀灣 及 廈門灣)，而且兩個連接兩個沙灘之間的行山徑只長約2公里，可說是非常適炎炎夏日的享受海灘與行山的休閒路線。

The sea currents near Sharp Island are pushing sand and gravel near the shore. After several years they formed a tombolo, a natural bridge made of different sized rocks and sand connecting Sharp Island and Kiu Tau. At high tide the tombolo is submerged in water and thus can only be seen when the tide goes out.
